If you are selling to a customer, it is not a general requirement to create an invoice. Please note: in Germany every transaction needs an invoice to be issued.
If you still would like to create an invoice, we advise our customers to use the third party software Easybill. It is connected with all main e-commerce platforms and automates the invoice creation process.
If you decide to create the B2C invoices by yourself, please make sure to include the following information:
- Make sure that your own VAT identification number is shown on the invoice.
- Make sure, that the name and address of the customer is mentioned on the invoice.
- Double check, that the invoice number, invoice date and payment date are included in the invoice.
- Double check, that the product or service, you have sold, is mentioned on the invoice.
