Country ISO Code list
To save time and avoid errors, internationally recognized country codes were introduced by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). These codes follow the ISO 3166 standard, which is divided into three parts:
1. Country Codes (ISO 3166-1) πΊπΈ π©πͺ
- This part provides the two-letter (Alpha-2), three-letter (Alpha-3), and numeric (Numeric-3) codes for each country.
2. Country Subdivision Codes (ISO 3166-2) π
- These codes refer to subdivisions of countries, such as regions, states, or provinces.
3. Codes for Formerly Used Country Names (ISO 3166-3) π
- This section covers codes for country names that are no longer in use (e.g., the former Yugoslavia).
