What is a sworn translation?
A sworn translation can also be called a public, legal, official or certified translation.
It is endorsed by the signature and a seal of a Sworn Translator who is authorized by the Foreign Office to translate official documents. This is generally recognized as an officially accepted translation of a document.
What are sworn translations needed for?
Sworn translations are needed when a translation is going to be used for administrative purposes or to meet governmental requirements.
What are the regulations for sworn translations?
There are no fixed regulations in each country. The requirements depend on the country in which it will be used and the specific situation. Therefore, it is important to know the exact requirements of the country with which you are dealing.
In case a sworn translation is needed for any of your VAT matters, you will be informed by your Account Manager or your Registration Assistant.
